Highlights of the overall E-Commerce Intensity Index January 2016 are:
- E-Commerce Intensity Index of the Philippines is currently pegged up to 12% of our country’s Gross Domestic Product.
- Up to 60% purchases in the manufacturing were done online for January 2016 with non-metal construction materials, basic metals, machinery & equipment, motor & transport equipment as most e-commerce active sub-sector.
- Up to 32% purchases in the retail and whole sector were done online for January 2016
- Up to 24% purchases in services sector were done online for January 2016 with the business & knowledge processing as the most e-commerce active sub-sector.
